This is the third new Wavves track to appear in the last few weeks and is clearly the best of the lot. This track originally appeared on a Daytrotter session way back in 2009. Quite predictably, it sounds a lot like the tracks Nathan was recording at the time, more lo-fi and noise rock based stuff with Zach Hill’s hectic drums making everything a little more interesting. This style always seemed to suit Nathan’s slacker ethos and I-don’t-give-a-fuck lyrics more than the cleaner pop-punk style sound onKing of the Beach, as great as that album was. It also has quite a schizophrenic contrast between the heavier bits and the verses like many of the songs on his Wavvves album. The weird interlude bit in the middle and the end where it gradually gets faster is pretty cool as well.
